Ensuring a smooth launch
We do everything in our power to make sure that launch day goes off without a hitch! During the pre-launch phase, you’ll choose a day and timeframe for the site to go live. When that time arrives, we take it from there and:
- Set up CloudFlare for DNS management or verify the domain registrar supports collaborator access
- Add and update necessary DNS records
- Configure PostSMTP/Postmark (WordPress) or Shopify Email
- Test and configure the site is working on the live domain as intended and without errors
No more worrying about making complicated DNS changes or hoping that the site goes live without issue. We’ve got all the technical details covered!
Once the site is live, we’ll send you a message to confirm in Slack so that you can also review and then let the client know it’s time to celebrate. 🥳
A note about Third Party IT or restricted DNS access
Some organizations work with a third-party IT company or have internal resources. They often will not want to allow outside control of their domain’s DNS.
In these cases, we will provide them with the DNS records we will need added and schedule a call to launch the site together, as there is a certain order that must be followed.
