Scoping
Ideally, scoping begins with a review of your completed Figma design file. When we are able to scope from a finished Figma design, we will follow up with a flat-rate agreement so that we can get started once it’s accepted.
However, if you need an estimate before a Figma design is ready, we can ask a few questions to give you a ranged estimate. Once you have the finished Figma design, we will confirm the estimate and provide a flat-rate agreement.
When scoping your project, we calculate the following components based on the number of pages and their functionality:
- Theme Setup (REQUIRED) Setting up all the default styles, architecture, header, and footer
- Simple Page A page with 1-3 sections (not including header & footer)
- Standard Page A page with 4-6 sections (not including header & footer)
- Complex Page A page with 7-8 sections (not including header & footer)
- Longform Page A page with 9+ sections (not including header & footer)
- Form A contact form
- Modal A popup modal
- Legal Policies Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
- 3rd Party Integration Website integration with a 3rd party platform
- Content Migration Migrating content from one system to another
For each item, we also choose a complexity based on the design/functionality needed:
- Standard The average level of complexity of most websites
- Medium A slightly elevated level of complexity above the average
- High A level of complexity considerably above the norm for most websites
- Extreme Only used in unique cases where custom functionality/design is requested
Finally, we take into consideration your priority and timeline for the project.
Billing
We generally always do flat-rate projects for new builds. Your agreement will also outline our payment schedule.
- For projects under $3,500, we require payment in full to book the project.
- For projects over $3,500, we will split the payments into 2 or 3 installments depending on the amount.
